Machine Blade Sharpening & Re-Serrating
Many weaving mills have shifted their production from traditional textiles to technical textiles such as carbon fiber and aramid. It has been found that the machine blades responsible for trimming the production-related protruding (weft) threads at the edges of the woven material at the end of the loom are subject to heavy wear. As a result, the service life of the blades decreases – in the worst case, the threads can no longer be cut at all.
ROBUSO offers the solution to this problem: We re-sharpen the blades so they are as good as new, helping to reduce the sometimes considerable costs of replacement and wear parts. We can grind the original bevel angle specified by the machine manufacturer or any other desired angle to optimize the cutting process. We also recommend having the machine blades fitted with micro-serration so that new high-tech threads can be cut without any problems in the future.
