ROBUSO

Solingen/Germany

ROBUSO is our brand for premium quality that far exceeds the quality standards of the SOLINGEN Act and DIN regulations. Depending on the model, ROBUSO scissors are hot-forged from steel or C60 carbon steel with a high degree of purity. For these exceptional industrial scissors, only C60 steel with a particularly high carbon content is used. The scissors achieve a hardness of 57–59 HRC, which guarantees above-average edge retention. After the forged blanks have been hardened, the scissor blades are pre-ground on the inside and outside using modern wet-grinding machines, creating a distinct hollow grind on the inner surface. The degree of handwork is 80–85%.

And that’s a good thing – because this is how particularly durable cutting solutions are created that withstand the most demanding conditions.

Experienced grinders then grind and hone (fine-grind) the scissor blades and shanks on both inside and outside by hand. The ground steel surface is then refined by high-gloss nickel-plating the finger rings, shanks, and blades on select models. To create an extremely sharp cutting edge (bevel), the nickel is then ground off the inside of the blades. Both scissor halves are then assembled by the riveter with exceptional care. The scissors are adjusted and the cutting edge is sharpened. Grinders and riveters ensure the characteristic smooth, gentle action of ROBUSO scissors. Finally, a thorough 100% final inspection is carried out. Every single pair of scissors is tested on the material it is designed to cut: muslin, lining silk, delicate curtain fabric, glass fiber, carbon fiber, and aramid. It is checked whether it cuts flawlessly from back to tip without pressure. That is why our ROBUSO scissors rightfully deserve the grade “Master Quality.”

ROBUR

Solingen/Germany

ROBUR is “Made in Germany” quality and partially meets the SOLINGEN quality standard. The cutting tools are typically forged from standard steel, hardened, and well finished. The proportion of handwork is approximately 40%. Scissors with painted handles are finished in black. Our ROBUR range focuses on the most popular models.

PELLORO Scissors

PELLORO scissors are imported from abroad, inspected by us, and improved where necessary. They are of economy quality, which is also reflected in the price. The proportion of handwork is approximately 20%. Scissors with painted handles are finished in black.
