The KAI 7220 with 8.5 inch (220 mm) blade length offers the leverage of a large professional scissors in a still compact format. The ergonomically balanced size makes it a first choice for versatile cutting work in garment manufacturing – particularly for hands where the 7205 feels too small and the 7240 too large.
The KAI 7000 series was awarded the iF Design Award 2005. The patented Duplex Interlock adjustment screw is heat-treated and, at 45 HRC, extremely hard – it maintains tension adjustment permanently, which often becomes a problem with ordinary screws after just a few months. The blades made from stainless AUS8A steel stay sharp significantly longer than standard stainless at 58 HRC hardness.
