The KAI 7270 is the long version of the professional 7000 series with 10.5 inch (270 mm) blade length – designed for large-area cutting in the garment industry, upholstery, and industrial textile processing. The additional leverage makes cutting long fabric runs noticeably less tiring than with smaller models.
The KAI 7000 series was awarded the iF Design Award 2005 – not for looks, but for thoughtful function. The patented Duplex Interlock screw is heat-treated and, at 45 HRC, extremely robust. It remains precisely adjustable even after years of intensive use and prevents the typical "weakening" that affects ordinary fabric scissors after extended periods. The blades made from stainless AUS8A steel stay sharp exceptionally long thanks to their 58 HRC hardness and 3.7-4.0 mm material thickness.
